Engagement Formats for Citizen Participation

Get involved by sharing your ideas, experiences, and curiosity! Science Comes To Town invites you to take part in various ways.

Through co-creation from the very beginning, where you actively help shape projects and develop solutions together with researchers; in a joint citizen science project, where you explore, observe, experiment, and contribute your findings to real scientific research; or in an international Science Battle, where intergenerational and culturally diverse teams compete across different disciplines: We invite everyone to cheer them on.

By participating, you don’t just observe science, you become part of it. Your ideas, experiences, and local knowledge help create practical solutions, generate valuable insights, and develop projects that are relevant, impactful, and scientifically grounded.

Together, we can make science more open, accessible, and meaningful, by transforming curiosity into action and ideas into change for neighborhoods, schools, communities, and cities.
